Homeownership

Owning a home should be an option for everyone! NONDC can work with you to get you there. Our homeownership specialists work one-on-one with interested buyers to identify the steps they need to take to purchase a home.

This may include:

• Homebuyer training seminars
• Credit readiness counseling
• Home maintenance workshops

NONDC also work in partnership with the Housing Authority of New Orleans and lenders from First NBC, Whitney Bank, Hope Credit Union, ASI Credit Union, JP Morgan Chase,  and Capital One to assist homebuyers in accessing mortgage financing.

We also have subsidies of up to $85,000 available, based on income-qualification, so that you can own a high-quality, energy-efficient home in Central City New Orleans for about same amount you pay in rent.
